Soul Oyster Web Studios

Company
*We are currently seeking freelance PHP and ASP programmers. Please contact info@souloyster.com with your resume and hourly rates.
Soul Oyster Web Studios opened its doors in Portsmouth, NH in May 2003 with the goal of providing a full range of design and internet related services. We recognized that although there are many Web design firms in NH and the surrounding area, very few offer the full range of services needed to create a successful Web site.
It is our firm belief that all businesses and organizations, regardless of size, should have access to the same services. We pass on over-inflated development quotes and price projects with your budget in mind. Your success is our success.
The company was started by Jennifer Marcelais. Jenn has worked for companies in the Portsmouth New Hampshire area that provide Web site services for the past 9 years and fully produced or contributed work in over 100 Web sites. She received a degree in Graphic Design in 1993 and enjoys working most with Adobe Illustrator and Macromedia Flash.
Her interest in the internet led her to train in html, and continued into Javascript, ASP, PHP and other programming languages. The past several years she has done extensive research into search engine submission techniques and optimization theories. She has applied this service for several websites, allowing them to reach their targeted keyword goals and created successful internet marketing campaig that dramatically increased traffic to client's websites. As with any evolving industry, the learning process never stops, so constant research and education is necessary to keep up with the latest trends and evolving technologies.
In her spare time, Jenn is an amateur historian and photographer. Her pet project, A Very Grave Matter (http://www.gravematter.com/) has won several awards and is a favorite for those interested in New England history, genealogy and taphophiles (lover's of cemetery art). This hobby has brought her to photograph and research some of the most famous and oldest gravestones in New England.
